There are so few books for military wives written from a Christian perspective that it is refreshing. Our life group for military spouses at our church is reading it now. I would highly recommend it and the Bible study also. You won't be disappointed!

Never Far Apart Review

I worked with families who specifically dealt with the issue of deployment and I always recommended specifically the idea of telling stories to aid in their acceptance of child/parent seperation. Lt. Gary's book is the key to helping children keep their hearts open and absolutely personifies the importance of the parent child relationship. The author clearly wrote from the heart, speaks directly to the children who share this painful experience and obviously helps them through these difficult times. This book is for any family who deals with separation, either due to military depolyments or other separation circumstances. There are very few books that deal with these problems. I will recommend Never Far Apart to EVERYONE! Definately a quality book! Thank you Lt. Gary!

A Children´s Book written for military parents and families by a military parent.This is a beautifully written and illustrated book that builds a bridge between a deployed military service member to child during periods of separation.The book includes a military lullaby which is also written by the author.What is really interesting, is that this heart warming and poetic book was written by a NAVY SEAL!
